Sonja (Steere) Gosse, Don Wood, Jackie (Ackerman) and Duane Wulf, and Nancy (Schmidt) Zetimaier contemplate converting Duane's wagon into a float.
Picture
The float begins to take shape while many, ahem, bystanders offer opinions and words of advice.
Picture
The weather was perfect as this leafy, sun-dappled picture attests. Gary and Linda Waldon's home provided a tony ambiance for the gathering as Sonja (Steere) Gosse smiles at the approach of an old friend.
Picture
Gary, Becky, Karl, and Don agreed that "No way!" 50 years have gone by.
Picture
The Class of 1962 is on board and moving out in the 69th position of about 100 floats.
Picture
Pretty good crowd for the parade.
Picture
Dick and Norm secured the rear, ready to fend off any over-enthused fans wanting to join the best class ever to grace the hallowed halls of the Price Laboratory School.
Picture
Annie and Rhett. Jeesh, that's touching. Rhett is about to floss Annie's teeth for her.

We wore black in mourning for the end of our beloved school.

This is "Main Street" at the New Aldaya facility connected to the Lutheran Home. It is the main thoroughfare from the front door to the banquet area. Along the way, Jackie laid out memorabilia.
Picture
The dinner was a sit-down affair with calligraphied place names. A lot of interesting conversations caught people up on the last 10 years. Pam Clay and Gary Waldon are in left foreground.

On "Main Street" looking toward banquet area. Lynn Nielsen ('65) is playing the piano while Bob Handberg checks out the old year books

Some guys from '62 w/ John Hellenga.

Picture
John Hellenga missed the parade and the Saturday night banquet, but joined the crowd at Brammer's house after lunch at the Lab School.
Oh, we're the guys from '62, and we're so fancy free. We hardly ever tint our hair as you can plainly see. If we should ever step on the scales it's not a brilliant move, but then again, who gives a dang, 'cause we have nothing to prove.

We sang the "Alma Mater Song" by Dr. Les Hale: All loyal sons and daughters come let your voices rise, as we pledge allegiance to State College High. Foundations firm, convictions strong, we proudly stand erect and sing, our alma mater song.

Jerry Cochrane, right, has extensive video and pictures of the two-day event. See subsequent info posted about contacting him soon.

Marilyn and Barb discuss cell phone apps while Becky and Lynn chat at the piano.

The traditional pyramid got done, although geriatrically, but by the looks on everybody's faces, it was fun. Our eyesight being what it is, we are confident that no one can see the chairs.

The Class of 1962 fifty years later. This picture was submitted by somebody with low pixels. If blown up any bigger, it gets blurry. If you have a picture of the class, please send to knutson(dot)karl(at)gmail.com. Thanks!!

Karl: I stayed up all night to see where the sun came from and then it dawned on me. David: (polite laughter)..

Nancy to Pam, Luanna, and David, "And this is me singing "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun, and here I'm singing "Doin' What Comes Naturally," and here...
